Great ride But short on conversation

A belated and brief blurb on last nights Stromlo training ride . I had the opportunity to leave work a little early last night and hit the trails at about 3.45 for a exploratory / lung busting training ride on one of the newly marked trails , which there are now six . The trail which i rode on was an intermediate / Advanced ......so it scared me a little.... but just the right amount of techy stuff and plenty of flowing berms around the western side where it got a bit crowded .... i saw another rider but as i was on a charge and didnt want to drop out of my training heart zone .........Ok he had an ipod in and didnt answer ........he just ignored me OK . Anyway there was about half a dozen small puddles here , which would have frozen overnight and been quite an obstacle on some of the corners . This ride just kept going and going . It was great although it was a hybryid mix if trail 4,6 and 5 for about two hours of fun ....more of this and i'll loose the gut .......

Managed to get back to the car well before the need for lights kicked in too . was tempted for a second lap but got lazy as the list of excuses includes , the need to move the car to outside the gate , unpacking lights and fixing to helmet , more warm riding gear , the need to call my wife and last but not least MORE FOOD which was back at the motel i was staying

Anyway a great fun filled ride and i am looking forward to Saturdays group training ride ...........No ipods guys
