Cheap(er), US-made derailleur hangers

Stumbled across this site today: http://derailleurhanger.com. They ship worldwide and are roughly half price - shipped - compared to local bike shop prices.

My young bloke broke his hanger on a rock last weekend riding home back up the trail from his session with forum member 'mountainbiker'.

Got the LBS (ie, the local brand dealer) to order in a pair of replacements for the bike, which have now arrived. I enquired as to price: FORTY FIVE BUCKS EACH! Sad For a little piece of soft aluminium! Sad

I don't think this is a case of them taking advantage of desperation, I expect they're just charging list price. It strikes me as gouging by the local importer. Yes, I should have checked before ordering.

I'll go through with the purchase so as not to stuff around the LBS but I've learned my lessons.
