I needed to get up early Saturday morning to travel with the TORC crew to get Wollombi by 7:30am, after hearing the rain all night I was thinking of any excuse to get out of going I hate wet weather in the end I thought @@$! it and just went.By the time we arrived at Wollombi the wet weather had good as gone and my spirits had lifted.

We unpacked the van took six bike off the roof registered then went for a few K's warm up and got to the start line with plenty of time to get on the second row of the grid.The start was slow compared to other races i'd done before with my heart rate hovering around 80-85%max while still being in the lead pack of around 7,3 of those being TORC riders we worked together till the first hill which is around 20minutes or so of granny gear climbing before more hills then a few more hills a big fast downhill hit 78km/h to brake up the hills then some more hills
