Much loved bike needs a new home. Have had Since Sept 2009 and has been barely ridden the last 6 months due to study commitments. Drive train was replaced on a couple months prior to that.

Solid bike. Great all rounder.

Open to swap for a downhill bike!!!

Full price they were over $3400. Bike is in Coogee but ride Northside regularly so can come and meet at a trail somewhere if that works.

Current tyres have little life left so am giving my spares that have around 75% left on them.

Odd wear and tear marks. Some scratches on forks but no issues with seals etc.

Come and arrange a time to see - can be in Coogee, Bondi Junction or even meet on Northside if am riding that way.

Text or call me with any q's 0426 260 943

Buyer can pick up or meet at above locations or can arrange courier at their own expense.

Here's what CBD bike store say about it:

Overview
This year featuring 6 inches of travel it has some seriously long legs but still climbs like last years 5 inch version. Lockout front and rear is a tick to the versatility stakes and again a good balanced component spec to keep everything reliable and repairable. Air adjustability in suspension and typically Kona frame durability.

Ride Style
Kona has worked with the classic 4 bar linkage for 12 years tweaking its performance to maximise its durability and handling to suit the ride style. The Dawg will tackle anything below head height while still light and responsive enough to go explore the Wisemans ferry loop with the crew.

Likes
The fact that Kona has not changed its suspension just for the sake of change like other brands - reliability with no performance compromise. Balanced componentry choice and lock out front and rear.

Dislikes
No lay back on the seatpost so attaining XC position for climbing is difficult and makes a already compact cockpit even shorter.

Here's some more info:

The Dawg features 130mm of travel up front with 6" at the rear, making it a good choice for Enduro/Backcountry riding.

* Kona Race Light Scandium Butted 6” Travel Frame/Mag Rockers
* RockShox Recon 335 130mm Travel Fork
* Fox Float RP2 Rear Shock
* Shimano 575 Hydraulic Disc Brakes
* Maxxis Ignitor 26 x 2.35 Kevlar Tyres

Kona's 09 Dawg is built using the Scandium Butted tubeset and features 6" of travel at the rear, this uses Kona's Dual Suspension system. The front end travel is taken care of with a pair of RockShox Recon 335 130mm Travel Fork.
Shimano's Deore and XT equipment are chosen for the gearing and braking, Sun rims built around a Formula front hub with a Shimano rear, the rims are wrapped in a pair of Maxxis Ignitor Kevlar 26x2.35C tyres. Kona's own bars, stem and seatpost add the finishing touches with a WTB Speed V Comp perched atop the post.
