Thanks to Gazza for lending me his bike and the Terrey Hills ride!

Finally managed to get out on a ride last Thursday when Gary took me out on the Terrey Hills fire trails route. Your tracks are so different here - the rocks and the scree are probably nothing to you guys as you're used to it - I found it a bit unnerving. That track finally made me understand the absolute necessity of a full suspension bike. If I'd been riding my KHS Team full rigid (aka the Tea Trolley or V&A exhibit circa 1994) without doubt I'd have been more off than on. The bike Gary let me use was excellent and absorbed so much - my old steed would have bucked me off pronto.

Nice to finally bump into Rob and to see Craig again whilst we were out - both in training I understand.

Was also good to meet you guys at Henry Afrikas when I first got over.
