For sale is my trusty 2005 Specialized Epic Small Frame (Alloy). I’m 165cm as a guide.

I have been using it for commuting to work twice a week for the last 6 months since upgrading to another MTB and also for the odd road ride. Having commuted to work regularly now for over 6 months, it was time to get a proper road bike and no room for 3 bikes. I am the second owner having purchased it around 2008 from a lady owner. It’s been well used for its intended purpose but also well maintained and looked after. Upgrades and features as follows.
• Mavic Cross Ride wheel set (immaculate) with low mileage Schwalbe Nobby Nics including discs (185/160) and rear cassette – valued at $400+
• Original Mavic Rims wheel set Schwalbe Big Apple road tyres including discs (185/160) and rear cassette
• Upgraded to hydraulic brakes – Avid Code R
• Upgraded pedals – Shimano XT SPD
• Upgraded rear derailleur – Shimano SLX
• Upgraded front derailleur – SRAM X7
• Upgraded shifters – Shimano SLX Rapid Fire
• Specialized Henge Seat, will also include the Selle Italia seat originally purchased with which was a Ladies seat.
• Fully rebuilt suspension in April 2013 inc front & rear shocks, brain and all pivot point bearing – valued at $740.
• Bottom bracket & Head Bearing was replaced about 12 months ago.
• Loads of spares including Nobby Nic Tyre, Box of 26” Tubes, Rear Cassette, Chain, Quick Links, Chain Rings, Set of Brake Pads, a variety of other odds and sods including all the original brakes, discs and brackets.

This is still a great bike to ride and would be ideal for anybody looking to get into MTB.
