Snowy Mountains
Arrived in Jindabyne on Saturday morning and went for a ride with my mate near the Tyrolean Village (Stuart's favourite track!).
It is tricky and steep, so a little bit hike a bike. Also it is not used much, surprised Stuart?, you can see, that some of the tracks are not used much at all.
Sunday morning we checked out Lake Crackenback XC loop, nicely done by the Resort. I was told, that it is open to all Mountain Bike rider's for now, but may become a small fee ride in the future. The XC loop has a blue and a green run (blue single track and green like a fire trail). The blue track is great along a creek and very pictures, just a little short, only about 3km or so, the blue and green merge a few times and at the End (about 3km mark) you continue on the green one, the hole lap is about 12km, but only about half is single track. Still a nice little loop.
Monday morning I checked out the XC loop in Thredbo around the Golf course, Rob you are spot on, very nice! again only a short loop, but a few nice climb's and nice flowing single track back to the Village. Also we went on a explore of the XC loop you can cut across (3km difficult narrow single track) to join up with the track to Dead Horse Gap. After that we had a look at the Cannonball!! 6.2km down, down and more down....what a great DH track, I left my NORCO at my mate's house in Jindy.... back very soon!!! Back to the Lake for a swim. everyone was happy!!
post some pic's later.
