Lucky
Geeze... we were lucky with the rain (missing it) this morning.
Today's ride was absolutely tops. It was highly amusing on a number of occasions.
Firstly following Alex down to the creek and seeing him almost loose it (left foot unclipped drifting waaaay right) on the sandy left hand corner (the one before right hand down steep smooth rock). I was riding the inside line almost next to him and slowed somewhat to view the carnage that never came - another lucky break for the young 'un
Last lap from the playground also a real grin maker. Poor old Alex was hounded relentlessly by Mike & I for taking bad lines and braking too much as the three of us canned it home. OK, credit to Alex - only his second time there so don't suppose he did that badly
I'd forgotten how much fun it is to ride closely with fast riders, the couple kids by the track looked astonished as we sped behind the houses inches apart. Mike finally got by Alex top of the boardwalk (by taking an off-board line - tut, tut, tut ) after all this hounding and having a go at the gate too. Really nice to watch this kind of action from a few feet behind. Now, if only these mountain riders can learn when not to break on this track think they'll be set!
