Site Upgrade Complete

I'm sure diligent users will have noticed - but the software running NoBMoB was upgraded this morning. Hope all is running well - please PM me if you spot anything weird going on - erm... think I check PMs are working

The only side effect should be that e-mail notifications are turned off right now. Not many people have been using that because the control is a bit coarse. Hopefully we'll fix that soon and have some better options for e-mail notifications.

Yes, and this new, improved notification module works slightly differently (and for the better).

If you were previously receiving mails then you should still get updates of all new content. Not always - just initial config tweaking done for customer satisfaction

Things are a little better now though - the ability to choose the type of content to be notified about is there. Turn them all on... or only hear about new forum topics, or news, or ride write ups, or... well, you get the idea. This is in the 'content types' tab of your config (it's 'my subscriptions' under 'my account' of course).

Alternatively, choose by category, under the 'categories' tab strangely

Comments now work a little differently too. Thankfully it's not 'all or nothing' any more - subscribe to the particular node of interest. Do this when publishing content of your own, or by using the 'subscribe post' link at the bottom of any content (although it probably only really makes sense in the forum).
