Am having a clean out so...

These wheels were taken from a small Trek 4500 WSD (women's specific) XC bike during an upgrade.

They haven't had much use before said upgrade and spin straight and true with no nasty noises from the bearings. Freehub feels in great condition with no play. These are basic wheels with double wall rims and Ritchey tape, but that's about as fancy as the spec sheet gets.

V brake surfaces only - no disc mounts in the hubs. The braking surface looks to be in excellent condition (see pictures).

Am having a clean out so...

This fork was taken from a small Trek 4500 WSD (women's specific) XC bike during an upgrade. As a consequence the steerer is a short 183mm. Probably only suitable for smaller frames then.

It hasn't had much use before said upgrade, and although this was done some time ago still feels smooth and in good working order. This is a basic fork so is pretty heavy and only has pre-load adjustment.

Has both V and disc break mounts.

There are a couple of cosmetic marks on one of the lowers (see photos).

Perfect for:

Am having a clean out so...

This post was original equipment on my 2007 Cannondale Rush 3 which is sadly no longer with us Sad

It was used for a while before I was gifted a very nice Thompson Masterpiece upgrade.

It has the usual rubbing from adjusting inside the frame and comes with a little free dirt (see pictures) but is in perfect working order.

Perfect for:

- Attaching your seat to your bike.
- Piling in the shed like a kleptomaniac.

Measured weight is 303g.

Usual disclaimers apply: know your abilities and ride within your limits, as only YOU have control of them.

Other than that, the only rule is: have fun!

Happy to shift the time +/- half an hour if the demand is there to suit peoples' schedules.

In preparation for a planned assault on the racing circuit next year, I picked up a brand new Giant Anthem X Advanced SL1 2011 (one of the most popular and successful Carbon XC Duallies you will find) a few weeks ago. I wasn't planning on riding it until Feb/March next year, so it has been covered up in storage and not touched at all. Unfortunately, with holiday plans, family health issues, etc, I think I have over-comitted and may need to off-load this lightweight race whippet before I even get a chance to sit on the saddle.

For Sale: Cannondale F1000 (Medium) Spinergy/X9/XTR - Ride Manly Dam on it in sub 30minutes ;)

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I've just upgraded to a new Cannondale MTB (Carbon Flash FTW!) so am looking to sell my old ride. This is an awesome rig, some scratches and skuffs as expected on a 4 year old frame, I've always had a chain protector on so no chips on the chainstay, the Lefty is in very good condition as it has been completely rebuilt internally only a month or so ago. Wheels are true (Spinergys rarely go out of true), seat may need to be replaced as it's a little torn, but other than that it's good to go. Bought the bike new, with original receipts but have upgraded pretty much every part.

Going for a relatively quick spin around Terry Hills - plan to do duckholes, centre, perimeter and long with maybe Cowan thrown in for good luck.
I want to keep stops to a minimum and keep a relativley quick(ish) pace.
