Saturday social ride all welcome, I will be on the black Mondraker meeting outside the hydro lab at 8:45am
Sydney Bike Skills FUNDAMENTALS Mountain Bike Skills Clinic
Golden Jubilee Field, North Wahroonga. If you head down Westbrook Avenue, turn left at Esk St and turn right into the carpark. The entrance to the track is at the far northern end of the carpark.
Sample Skills Covered in Mountain Bike Skills Sessions
• Helmet check and fit
• Bike safety inspection
• Correct riding position
• Controlled braking including emergency braking
• Riding around small obstacles
• Slow riding and balance
• Cornering and flat turns
• Getting over small obstacles like rocks and branches
• Correct gear selection
• Ascending and descending hills
• Line selection
• Ratcheting
• Tips on cleaning and maintaining your bike
• Short trail ride to put your skills into practise

Beginner Friendly Terrey Hills Social Ride
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
I'm taking a colleague out for a first mountain bike ride this Sunday.
Others are welcome to tag along. Pace will be sociable. Allow food and water for two hours.
Depending on how people's legs are, we may take a tourist detour to Cowan Trail, and/or the St Ives Sniggle.

WSMTB XC Rnd 6 - Blue Gum!
Blue Gum Lodge 6 Fels Ave Springwood NSW 2777
Round 6 of the WSMTB XC series will be held at the fantastic Blue Gum Lodge track in Springwood on 3 August 2014. We only get to race this track once or twice a year - and it is always very popular.
All welcome!
See www.wsmtb.com Calander for the race schedule. There will be an U10s event, and also U15s, Novices, and Seniors.
Yarramundi RFS will be there with their yummy BBQ.
