1 x 100km angry doctor ticket for sale due to 24 stitches in my left leg from shark attack three days ago (if you can believe it). I should look to see if there is a one pedal only entry category in the 11km angry intern.

Call me on 0414805333 if interested.

Frank's trail

imagine the bureaucratic brickwall you'd be up against trying to get this approved over here.
and the workcover permits, OH&S, sign a waiver 'in case of death' etc

Epic ride planning: ZigZag + Wolgan Valley + Glow-worm Tunnel - any tips?

Hi
I'm thinking of organising a ride with some mates in the Blue Mountains and came across the page below whilst doing some research.

http://www.railtrails.org.au/states/trails.php3?...

Seems to me that you could string together a pretty good loop starting somewhere near Zig-Zag railway, down Blackfelllows Hand Fire trail to Wolgan Valley, then back up the old rail trail through the Glow-Worm tunnel to finish the loop. Probably 80Km all up.

Has anyone tried this before? Any tips or traps I should be aware of? Clockwise or anti-clockwise for the loop?

cheers

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
When:
Saturday, 12 September, 2009 - 08:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Manly Dam
Meeting Point:

King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

We were going up to Terry Hills, but since it's going to be so hot and there's only 2 of us who don't know the tracks, we changed our minds and headed to Manly for an early start.

meet 8:15ish for an 8:30 start.

Feel free to join us - then maybe you can show us the way!

I've finally managed to get another MTB after having a roadie for a few years and it's about time to start exploring the Sydney tracks.

Finch's Line

From the Old GNR this starts as an easy 4WD track and trails off to a walking trail before becoming a walk only track.

It is signposted "Walkers Only" at the start but there are some great views worth taking in.

Help with rear derailleur sizes

Hi all. Was hoping someone mechanically experienced might be able to help me with my move to a shorter cage rear derailleur and quieter drive train. I've got a 2008 Giant Reign 1 which i've modified to have just a single 32T chain ring up front and still the stock standard 11-34T cassette at rear. The stock standard long cage SRAM x9 rear mech is still there but I'm looking to buy a small or medium cage SRAM x9 for a tighter ride. Can i go to small? Thanks for any help. Happy trails.
