Cowan track closed to MTB's

This wasn't like this last Sunday week.
Given the lack of NPWS logo or even colours, and the conflicting "No Horses" sign still on the other sign, I am dubious about just how "official" this is but either way having the gate open makes it more inviting for us and I would imagine is a nice Christmas present for our horsey friends.
Either way, a pleasant change in attitude and good to see.
Cowan Trail (Terry Hills) Confirmed As Out of Bounds
I decided today to get confirmation from NPWS if it was legal to ride the Cowan Fire trail which forks off West about 850m from the Long/Perimeter junction. Whilst this site indicates it is okay to ride the trail, I have noticed there are no signs confirming you can ride at the trail head. This is the response I received back which confirms the trail is out of bounds for MTBkrs.

Did Perimeter and Long yesterday and checked Cowan. The signs at the head of the trail clearly state that it is for walkers only. I took some photos but I don't know how to load them onto the site. Any ideas from anyone?
