A network of fire trails that spans from Blaxland to Yellow Rock. Great for a short rides. Best for linking the Lower Blue Mountains to create some epic rides.

A good downhill track in Sydney?

Hey guys

Just want to know if there are any good downhill tracks in Sydney (not private tracks)?

I've been riding Oxford Falls heaps but I would like to ride something more like the Awaba or Ourimbah tracks.

A track with technical areas but also just flowy and jump sections would be great.

Tracks that would be good enough for state series are the ones im interested in.

Greater Sydney area only

Cheers

A variety of tracks with a mix of firetrail and technical single track. Currently a bit of a maze which allows for creating your own loop.

Also includes a legal DH Track.

Time off over xmas

I've got some time off over Christmas; I've only ever really ridden manly dam, red hill and Ourimbah. What trails should I try out close to home that is decent? single track or technical preferred.

Suggested downhill explore ride?

With the racing for my year now finished until the Mont early next year, I am free to get back to some more fun riding.

As promised to some off site, I am keen to drive down to the Wollongong area and check out the technical and downhill trails there. I have a rough idea of places I want to go to, so thank goodness for Google Maps and YouTube. Laughing out loud But of course, I am keen for the help of a tour barbie that may know the best places.

Does anyone want to come along? What is your day preference?

Craig's DIY Lights

Here are the sneak pics of my new lights that are in practical completion and very very close to a test ride. Well they are in the lighting section in the gallery once moderated.

Craig's DIY Lights Craig's DIY Lights 2 Craig's DIY Lights 3 Craig's DIY Lights 4

There are so many new parts and construction ideas that the final completion tends to drag on.

I know I know, incorporate the fixes into second set.

I will give details of the parts and build process in later posts.

Ben - steep descent

A technical single trail that complements the Oaks in the Blue Mountains. This trail is either an out and back, about 8km each way. Or an out leg towards a cliff escarpment with an extremely technical descent that is hike-a-bike only (eg. you have to carry your bike down and out the other side), about 20km in total.

This is technical riding at it's best. Want some practice in the best technical riding that Sydney has to offer? Gee, I sound like I'm selling something.

I will be riding this to practice my technical skills. It has been a long time since I have practiced on a track like this. Hopefully the weather remains good. The ride will involve stopping and starting, to play and practice on various parts of the trail.
