Interested in a ride on Sunday
I rode with a few of you a couple of weeks ago and would love to meet more bikers. I am new to Australia and would love to ride somewhere this Sunday. I could meet somewhere around Manly Dam if anyone is interested in that ride. I would love to check out other areas but I do not have a car yet, so I would need a ride. Feel free to contact me directly or let me know if there are other areas that are within biking distance of Manly. Thanks, Maria

Hey Maria, glad you made it onto the site!..and thanks for joining us on the dam a few weeks ago, a nice ride as I remember.
I'm not sure about this Sunday, we have a big ride planned for Saturday though up at Ourimbah, about 1hr north. Plenty of nice XC and Downhill riding with a bbq lunch, check out the post 'return to ourimbah'. I'll be driving if you need a lift.
Also, keep an eye out for rides posted, there's always local rides going.
I can't ride this Saturday but that sounds like a fine day you have planned. Normally I would be all over that. I will be around the next few weekends, so keep me in the loop. Thanks for the ride offer also.
just noticed there's a ride posted for terry hills sunday, could work for you.
I was thinking about that, but there is the issue of getting a ride there. Maybe I should go car shopping this weekend so I can make more rides

Kath who is joining me on Sunday at Terrey Hills lives up on the Northern Beaches. Maybe you could get a ride with her. I would offer, but I'm coming from Vaucluse, so Manly would be a bit of a detour.

I only bought a car when I took up mountain biking.
but Manly is a 40 minute drive from Avalon in the opposite direction to Terrey Hills.
Also I don't have bike or roof racks
...pretty much out then. Looks like you do need a car when you have a bike!
You just need to set off earlier... when younger and stupider (arguably) I used to ride from Balmain to Manly for a lap or two of the Dam and then ride home and collapse, if I were being lazy I'd take the ferry. Not much fun though ;-}

normally i would be thrilled to ride a lap of the dam or give you a lift to Terrey Hills but i pulled a calf muscle last week so can't ride or drive my ute at the moment...

Hi everyone, I've only been on one nobmob ride back in early Dec so I don't really know any nobmobbers. I know this is late notice but I'm meeting a couple of friends to do a lap or two of the dam and bantry bay on sun morning 15.03.08 at 9am. Anyone is welcome to join us. I'll be in the green ford laser with bike racks on the roof.
