tienster Good ride today.

Sand, puddles and bike wash.

Good pace, plenty of hills.

Rob 12 gates of hell

Ah, Tien... what a sadistic b@st@rd he is for suggesting this!

A surprising number of suckers willing riders showed up 7am this morning though and off we went. Soon though, the hills ticked by, as did the laps and one by one they fell away until just Tien, myself and another mystery rider (oops... I forget your name, how embarrassing) were left.

Below is a list of excuses for finishing last (of, did I mention, only 3?) pick which one you like the best...

am confused, i thought your birthday was the saturday... obviously i have gone back to being blonde...bugger!
maybe it would be best if just went back to doing some work... Smiling
Tien, I will not be at your ride, the Oaks up and back seems so much kinder to me! plus I have Cascades tomorrow night - I see some roidy boys have said they are coming so it will be a challenge for me... Smiling

not that i am coming along

christine's picture

but i was wondering, if for some reason i am overcome with enthusiasm and decided to ride Cascades by myself one day - would it be better for me to come back up and out of heath track or is the track up to davidson worse? and don't even think about freakin Quarry as that is so off my radar - other than to ride down...

Davidson

Buck's picture

the exit to davidson is steeper than Heath track in sections. Steep enough to be paved with concrete and bitumen in sections Smiling

Buck: you're no fun!

tienster's picture

Should have told Christine it is easy as a walk in the park!

Tien.

there is truly a wicked side to you!
i know the Davidson one is yukky, i used to walk the dogs down there when i lived in Davidson, but I was wondering which hill is better for that dreaded ' t' word which I am now avoiding...

Heath

Slowpup's picture

Heath is better for training, I usually (read always until last Wednesday) ride out at Stone Pde. It is three short blasts, which while steep don't hurt the lungs just the legs.

I'm actually contemplating riding in at stone, and out at heath for fun this weekend? Won't be doing any of those silly 12 gates rides though.

Will this be a social

Was the social ride Q addressed to me? I'll do it as a small (20 Km) training loop from Killarney Heights if I have time this afternoon, or as part of a longer loop Sunday morning.

Good ride today.
