I've just replaced the battery in my Garmin Edge 500. It's on charge now, I'll give it a test run this arvo maybe.

Strava/Garmin help:- how do I separate an activity in two

I did a ride yesterday and forgot to reset my Garmin. I then went and did the Oaks this morning and it added it to yesterdays ride, including the straight line distance between the two rides.

Is there anyway of separating the two rides or even just deleting the first ride?

Here's the ride if that helps:

Here it is on Garmin connect if that's easier:

How much light is too much light?

For off-road, I've come to the view that more is better, especially when it's a nice wide even beam spread.

Here's a review article on the bar light I used at the Mont. It played a key part I reckon in my improved times on last year's event, and made a major difference to my enjoyment of the night laps.

Strava Android

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I am a newbie to Strava and have a few questions I need answered, they are,
roughly how long should it take to sync a ride activity on my Android phone....mine seems to take forever, any ideas why ?
if it is because I have previous rides still on my phone do i need to delete rides to free up space on my phone, over time a person could have 100's of rides logged ?
if i delete a ride does my ranking on a segment leaderboard remain ?
how do you regular users of Strava manage your ride data ? what is the best way
Thanks heaps for you help

night MTB rides - lights

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

i notice there are often night rides posted on this website.

i dont think my skills are up for that just yet . But i like the idea. More convenient for me.

What kind of lights are commonly used. Im on a budget, so suggestions at the cheaper end would be greatly appreciated. and approx prices.

thanks for any advice.

Ayup lights

Hi all

I am looking to get some lights which I can use for trail riding at night as well as on a commute home from work at night. I was thinking about buying ayup v4's, but before buying I thought I would see if others are using them and what they think, or if people have other any lights they prefer for around the same price.

Thanks
Adam

Garmin HRM won't sync

My HRM has suddenly stopped working with my Garmin 500, cadence still working. I swapped the battery out in the HRM for a new one but it has had no effect. Any ideas from anyone?

Quad

Funnily enough I was talking to a friend the other day about something like this...

http://liliputing.com/2013/01/mecam-49-flying-ca...

Basically, an autonomous quadcopter that follows you around filming your every move. Needs work to be able to keep up with a cyclist, but how hard can that be? Eye-wink
