Updates expire after 3 weeks or something (I forget the exact update). So... erm... yeah, can anyone please tell us what it's like up there now?
it is beautiful! wild, dry and great fun...all the sand is back in the usual places as it has dried out so well
apparently also, you will all no doubt be delighted to hear, the residents have complained enough about the trail bikes that a fellow dog walker said she heard the police will soon be going up there to help stop them...
That is delightful news
hi there, i think that will only apply to unregistered motos,
also make sure when they complain they say motor bikes, not trail bikes.
Also if anyone comes accross a moto(rego or not) please take the time to (Kindly) explain the trail advocacy issue, and when the guys in motos go up(or down) the trails that are specifically designed for mountain bikes it chews them up big time and gives us a bad name.Best to talk to them only if you are with others in a group. You dont want to tick them off, just use a bit of tact.
I was told that registered are allowed but unregistered are not. Can anyone confirm this?
We dont want to think people that are riding motos up thier with registration are breaking the law when they are not.
I thought the same as you, BUT the new signs are for all trail bikes - don't worry anyone who lives around here knows what they are complaining about
they have signs at the entrance off red hill and at the first junction but as far as i can tell they are the only signs - it will be interesting to see how they try to stop them... if they do
oh, also i was told they are planning a new gate at the entrance to help stop the trail bikes as well - the worst offenders apparently are there really early in the morning and rev their engines - funny, as when i horse ride up there on a weekend i make sure it's early to avoid them!!
We shall see...
