Carbon Hardtail
Hi all,
I have had an offer to build someone a bike....
Specifically Carbon Hardtail.....only thought is which one?
Any suggestions?
Looking a FRAME ONLY for now.

I think you mean you are looking to build a bike for someone, is that correct?
This is intriguing... you specify a hardtail which might point to a budget build... but then you specify carbon which is a contradiction. So I assume you're after a superlight race bike for someone.
In which case the next question of "Wassa budget?" seems irrelevant
Which brings the conclusion the obvious choice is a Cannondale Flash
Apparently the same guy built both frames.

Both around the 1kg mark for frame weight but the Scott uses a standard BB. Other considerations are carbon hardtails from Orbea, GT and Mongoose but dont think they are as light or reliable.
Carbon frame, carbon wheelset and of course, carbon Lefty...
So, if you 'have' to have a hardtail, wouldn't a 1kg framed 29er be the business!
Smoother rolling and seriously light.
btw, at least 90% of riders at the Canberra worlds were on carbon hardtails.
Beautiful carbon HT with unique rear triangle allowing single speed or geared set up:

My next bike - one day
Yeah race machine needs to be built.....the criteria i have been given are exotic looking at the 5-6K mark....i am trying to steer clear of the big names for now but price may bring me back there....
