worlds 24 solo qualifying?
just been warned by a friend today who's doing the scott 24 solo in order to qualify for a place in the world champs 24 solos next year being held in oz.
he brought it to mind that depending on what time of year the solo worlds are on that the scott may be the only race to qualify! i'd like him to be completely wrong as i was hoping to qualify at the aussie champs next year. the reason for the fuss is that i've heard the champs usually take place around the two equinox periods of the year( 12 hour light/12hours dark) but this is usually in the northern hemisphere so i'm all confused and probably, so are you by now!
what i'm asking is, has anyone got any info on dates and other qualifying races there are for the 24 solo world champs?
thanks
gazza

The venue of the world champs is supposed to be revealed at interbike which ends tonight. I checked the 24hr world champs website and it has no info on what the qualifying events are. I have a feeling the Kona 24 is also a qualifying event.
I'm sure I read on rotorburn that if CORC one they were going to push to have a number of qualifying events.
suppose i'll sit and wait for more info. i'll email the organisers of the kona 24 and ask them too.
thanks,
gazza
OH! AND BY THE WAY! THE CARBON ENDURO IS DEFINATELY UP FOR SALE AT $3200. CONTACT ME FOR DETAILS OR A VIEWING.
Someone on farkin asked about the Sydney 24 being a qualifying event and Martin said he was going to look into what is involved so might be able to qualify there too.
I am sure there will be a few options for qualifying if the world champs are going to be held here.
Hopefully CORC score it and its down in Canberra.
WSC24 Announcement of WSC 2010 location before week ends. Both bid groups and locations are wonderful and for very different reasons. #wsc24
