Elixir <> Juicy hose swap?
So... I've purchased a set of ElixirR brakes and fitted the front one to the Yeti - all good.
Ah... but then came to fit the rear and discovered the hose is around 20cm shorter than that on the Juicy 7 that's coming off there. Doh!
The question is: can I swap these hoses around without braking them? And by that I mean: can it be done without having to go get a whole load of olives (well - I assume 4) or whatever you need for the job? Once done I know how to bleed Juicys... I take it the Elixir are just as easy? I have a feeling a trip to the LBS might be prudent given I'm asking these sort of questions 
BTW - it's not an issue having a shorter host on the 7's after swap because they are going on another bike where the length won't be a problem.
Oh... and does anyone know if one can change the angle of the hose connector on the Elixir calliper? It looks like it should swivel but has no bolt visible. On a set of Juicy Ultimates I did this (just loosened a bolt and rotated the hose connection).

Well - a bit of reading from manuals on the Avid site seems to indicate that the compression fitting and barb would be compatible at the lever end.
I also see that one adjusts the angle of the hose from calliper by loosening the bolt opposite side of the calliper to the hose fitting.
However, annoyingly it seems that there is no way to remove/replace the fittings at the calliper end as they are crimped on. The only way round this would be to buy a new hose kit for an Elixir. I do believe this might have been the reason I was looking for another set of J7s - same brakes on all your bikes don't bring these issues. Doh!
So... bugger that - the Elixir can go on the short bike and guess the answer to my earlier question is that the J7s will stay on the Yeti. Oh well - c'est la vie.
