Which Dually??
I'm looking to upgrade my bike to a Scott spark 50 or the trance X3 or X2 has any body got any suggestions. I am looking to do longer rides than the 1 or 2 laps of everywhere I go riding , instead of trying to better my bike I will look into upgrading instead

Smiley I'd rather Scott anyday!
But, both bikes are good and you'll see them in the Dozens at a Race meet. Are they in the same class (travel and geo)? Its up to you which "Image" you want to portray? I've found bikes sell on who's done a better Marketing job rather then the actual product. It would be interesting if there were two bikes, different companies, both in total black no "Brandings" and you had to pick one! I think I'd still go the Scott as I prefer the refined look and it looks faster.
I'll jump onto the websites and take a look...
I'm focusing on the scott as a better option as I like the locckout stuff it has going for it
simply heaven and less likely to break!
Hey Russ,
Better warranty on the Giant range and it won't break. Head up to Ourimbah and check out Cycology at Tuggerah (near the F3 turnoff) for some insane deals on all of last years Giants and some crazy Specialized prices too. More bang for Buck with a Giant..... coming from a guy who rides a Trek!
... Scott seems to be having a run of rear triangle breakages of late. While they've all been fixed under warranty so far as I know, there's that risk that yours may expire a day too late. That said, the Scotts do look faster I agree. Too bad they both have one too many fork legs!
I think I will stay with the trance I will look for something in my budget now lol
As I have 2 bikes to rid off 1 roadie & 1 dually
I currently ride a Scott Genius MC40. Have had no issues with it from a frame point of view or really anything else. Sparks are great for XC racing and only have 110mm travel. Value for money wise you cannot go past Giant.
Personal opinion and style of riding will also govern what bike you will end up riding.

YOUR bike is the reason we all tease about Scotts and breaking!
When you got yours you have loads of problems - have you forgotten all the rides at Oxford Falls you didn't get to finish?
Also, be fair and confess you are scumming more than dirt riding these days as well...
There was only one ride @ Oxford Falls I didn't finish on the Scott and that was because of snapped derailleur.
I've broken more hangers on my Giant.
True about the scumming but I'm off to Ourimbah on Sat.
