Hi guys
i was just doing some research on night lights and happened to come across a bit of an Xmas sale on the Ayup website. I have nothing to do with these guys, just sharing the love amongst the NOBMOB community.

details below or you can go to their website
XMAS SPECIAL - From today we are launching a Xmas special where all kits are 10% off normal pricing. Parts remain the same price. Also we have free shipping to any country in the world on 3 kits or more

cheers

Cheers for the heads up, Chica
I would have missed this as I was going to wait until January
But a $50 saving is a slab of the top shelf stuff for Chrissy

That's what I was thinking too Andy - great minds

After chatting to the Ayup guys at the Fling I've finally put my money where my mouth is and put my name down for a set of black and gun metal lights.

Did I hear someone say nightride?

Guys,
Ayup is a slick outfit, and I've been running their lights for years (still do have two sets), but....
The HID technology pygmy @ 700 lumens is brighter than two sets of ayup that I run on my bars, and similar price ($340).
I run this as my helmet light. http://hidtechnologies.com.au/Lumen8rPygmy.php
If you want to blind small animals out out on the trail, the pygmy max at 1000 lumens is around $440 and probably the lightest commercial rig putting out 1000 lumens.
have a look: http://hidtechnologies.com.au/Lumen8rPygmyMax.php
One of these is on my 2010 shopping list!

A night ride of Stromlo - flying along skyline - good test of those new lights!

Yes, Skyline & descending the downhill track was one place that a pair of ayups was woefully inadequate.
Having double that light completely trasformed my night riding/racing experience!

i'm not with these guys but they have a 30 litre fibreglass esky at nearly half the price ... see http://www.evakoolstore.com/ ... i ordered one even though i like the look of the green xtreme heaps more ... kind of having post purchase dissonance wishing i got the [prettier] green one ...

i also i noticed the ayup special and received my v4 set yesterday (green medium for the handlebars and black narrow for the helmet) ... functionally i like the hids too (i was looking at the planet bike one) but was worried about battery life (only 2hrs) ...

i saw the longer life hids too but the ayups looked [you guessed it] prettier ... having said that, i might get some hids next year for function ...
