Details:

Juliane and I have been out there twice now to build and scout for a new trail up the hill. I talked to the manager and he promised me that he will clear an old fireroad with his earthmover so we have a bit more trail there.

Now for the hill:
The good news first: J and I were able to cut in a nice new trail that leads around the hill. The 200 or so meters after that should be fairly easy to cut in
The challenge: the 200 meters after that until we hit the road again are quite steep and very rocky and I haven't found an ideal place to make it up there yet. We might have to include a hike a bike section just to get up over the rock ledge, but we will work hard to avoid that or make it at least as short as possible. I think it is still better than hiking up the fireroad again.

The rest of the trail is very nice and won't need much work.

So if you want to see the trail before the race next Sunday is a rare opportunity for that. We meet at 8 so we can stay out of the heat as long as possible, build until around 12, have lunch (provided of course) and then go for a ride, cool off in the pool and drive home again.

Please let me know if you can make it so we can buy food accordingly. It is a great workout and suprising amount of fun. Ask last year's builders Smiling

Cheers,
Martin
