Details:

As discussed, let us take a trundle around North Turramurra. I've never ridden here so am looking for Lach to lead the way, but sounds like some out and back firetrail work so easy riding.

Guess this is close enough to Bobbin Head that those wanting more when we're done can have a trundle there too.

Who's in?
Rob, pikey, tienster, Lach, Damien, Brian, jdb, Dicko (8 riders)

What Happened?

Were you there and have a story to tell?

I should be good for this Smiling

Thank you for the ride. Thats the hardest ride I have done all year Eye-wink.

Ended up being out just under 5 hours, 41.44km with 1023m elevation and burnt 2180 calories.

Yeah, thanks a lot Lach for showing us around. Some of this was a big surprise.

The good news is that pretty much all the good stuff (single track) looks to be outside NPWS lands. Lach has done a write up so will make some maps and share this stuff Smiling

No problems. Probably a bit tough for a post NYE ride - it was for me at least!

A lot of the fire trail and the North Turra single track has only really appeared in the last year or two. Before that there was no link up to Golden Jubilee and a tougher track from there to Cliff Oval, with no real link to Grosvenor St. Would be good if there was a link from Grosvenor across to the fire trail that runs of the NP access rd near the Asquith gates. It would make a nice link back through Bobbin Head, especially if the NPWS made the walking track from the gates to Kalkari a shared track.

Thanks Rob for doing the mapping.

Look forward to hooking up for a few more rides in the future.
