When:
Wednesday, 6 January, 2010 - 07:00
Duration:
2.5 hours
Come Rain or Shine:
If it's raining, I won't be there.
Ride Database Entry:
Ourimbah State Forest
Meeting Point:

North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.

Red Hill Road, NSW @-33.275884,151.377053
Details:

My 1st time at Ourimbah - looking at doing 2 or 3 loops. Probably not the downhill - however open at this stage. Want to start at around 6:30am, however have posted 7am to give me time to get up there.

... you'll really enjoy it. Very flowy. Uphills will give you a workout, too. Easy to get lost, though.

Take a compass. Laughing out loud

If you stay on the main loop you won't get lost - very easy to follow and a massive rap to those that keep the trail so perfect and sign posted.

... I haven't ridden it for ages - my impressions are obviously no longer current. Smiling

John (Bluray), is there any chance you have a Mavic spoke key? If so, do you think you might be able to bring it tomorrow morning please?
Thanks mate,
Andrew.

Thanks John & Andrew for the tour. I am exhausted after 2 laps. 3 would be too much for me! Ive got Dettol on the arm after the car park spill and I have a nice bruise on my shoulder from that stupid tree. I feel I just didnt have the groove happening today, so I'll have to come back again. I think I would have been lost without your directions. Thanks again.
