Just wanting to find out if there is a "legal route" from st ives down to the narrabeen lake (sports institute). I understand the cascades track first part, but then lose the trail in teh oxford falls aarea with the open and illegal routes.
Can anyone help?

AFAIK the Gutterball trail down to Wakehurst Parkway is not in National Park so...
From Cascades you can ride (road) Wyatt Ave, cross lights to Morgan Road, then (dirt) take the Slippery Dip and Morgan Road fire trails right to the end and down Gutterball to Wakehurst Parkway.
