Auckland riding
I'm in Aucland for the next three weekends (with the bike!) and looking for some new riding. I've been and done Woodhill and the other bikeparks spot south of Auckland and have been down to Taupo/Rotorua. I'll hit these spots up again but was wondering if anyone else had hot tips for rides elsewhere in/around Auckland?
Ta,
Matt.

I get flyers periodically from N-Zo clothing, they are heavily into financially supporting trail care. If you have no luck with local bike shops then send N-Zo and e-mail, they may be able to point you in the right direction, never know your luck, you might pick a guide for the day with access to cheap clothing

Matt,
Got a friend in NZ and her recomendation is the following web site
http://www.vorb.org.nz/
It lists bike shops, parks, forums etc.
You only on Nth Island?
I think there is a big bike park just north of Auckland.
Good Luck mate!
On the N-Zo site.

Not sure if I will have time for a ride but maybe a beer...I hear Auckland is a hard place to get into trouble in....

The vorb site in particular is great. Found a social ride on their forums for this weekend already! Just the thing for trying out my new 46T big ring, zoom zoom...
Craig - give me a shout if you're about in Auckland, particularly on a Wednesday night when there's night riding at Woodhill bikepark, or for a beer otherwise in this dull small town... btw Woodhill IMHO is more fun than any Australian trail I've been on, check it out:

Ta,
Matt.
I think I would need to ride that place with a Michelin Man suit on. Screw it up, and the injuries look like they could be feral.
For my standard, do they also have a "kiddies" course?
Looked through some of the pages and really, really want to move countries right now! Amazing! Looks like the next holiday destination is set
Have the best time!
