Anyone willing to risk blowing $100 on one of these?

http://www.citysoftware.com.au/Otek_DVS-126_720p...

* Features a digital camera, music player and voice recorder.
* 5 Mega Pixel still photo, max. 8MP.
* HD video clip 720P 30fps.
* H.264 video compression.
* 3 x digital zoom.
* SDHC compatible.
* Built-in 128MB flash memory (Available memory space for image storage is approximately 80MB).
* 2.4" TFT monitor(480 x 240 Pixels).
* HDMI Built in.

It's less that 100 grams. How hard would be be to mount it to your helmet?
I can't find a review on it but for that sort of cash you can't be too picky....

WVGA is 800*480 res

which is not 720P

not even a proper aspect ratio :S

Would be interesting to see a sample of Biking/Snow Boarding.

Either way.. seems like a pretty decent way to record things (that you dont necessarily want to share/broadcast)

How you going to mount that thing?

and the link says 2kg, not less than 100g
the text says 75g, hate dbl reading ads.

I got some vholdr cams, a little weight, but not noticable when riding, only sitting still.
I got two Sony Webbies from USA, both do HD
just diff size lens for still pics. and the size of the cams, neither would be helmet mountable.
