rent a bike

I've got a friend or two who know how to ride a bike, but interested in getting into MTB...though not sure whether to fork out the money a bike yet. Are there places where you can rent decent mountain bike in Sydney?

Inner City Cycles in Glebe & Manly Cycles in (funnily enough) in Manly. Or if you head up the Blue Mountains Velonova in Katoomba and Go Wild at Glenbrook (if they're still around).

Yeah... Manly Cycles rent out Trek 4300 (entry spec. hard tail) I think (check with them) for $35 the whole day (again, check, but think this is correct).

The place on the Pacific Highway in Chatswood (Northshore?) were also doing hire last time I asked (year or so ago?). More expensive, but they had dualies to play with.

Don't forget also, that many bike shops will lend you a demo if your mate is serious about things. It would also help if the shop in question knew you I guess. Of course don't take the p*ss with this... only borrow something if they are serious about that kind of purchase if they enjoy.

Hope that's helpful.

Hi Sunny,

Not sure if this is what you are asking.

But I would be happy to lend you my spare bike if you want to. At no charge. Unless I need it due to breaking my current bike. I don't really use this older one anymore as it just sits in my spare bathroom all day.

It is an Avanti Atomic 2005 hardtail. Done some decent k's on it, and it is in pretty good nick. Back brakes are about 80% effective. Otherwise runs like new.

Have it for as long as you need it. But you would need to pick it up and return it to me in Hornsby. And also pay for repairs (if that was required).

Email me at [email protected] if you are interested.

Thanks.
