Just got some new soft compound rim pads and when I apply them they squeel louder than a pig. Does anyone know the cause and is there a fix?
I can't remember the brand name.
edit: I should add that they are orange in colour if that helps.
Sounds like the pads aren't 'toed in' properly.
Make sure the pads are adjusted so that the leading edge (toe) hits the rim about 1-2mm before the trailing edge ( heel). If they are absolutely square to the rim or 'heel in' they usually squeal badly.
