Looking to join a few night rides. Can you recommend What i need to get started? Price? How many lights? Tips on where to buy? or if anybody looking to update and sell second hand.....Your help would be appreciate. Thanks.

You sure this should be on your blog? Surely better in the forum under MTB tech or general discussion?
Use the search for other ports on the subject, there are quite a few threads about lights, one quite recently. Hint: search for "magishine"

FWIW, my current favourite non-DIY light would be the HIDTechnologies Pygmy. Few of the guys have these.
The best thing to do when looking for lights is come to a 24 hour race and check out everyone else's
