Erm... you forgot your bike Or two... take two if you can
And a bike lock
I'll be pinching a white board from work and taking that down. It'll be good for plotting laps/times/beer stock, etc.
Oh and don't forget the insect repellant.
EDIT: You forgot lights too.
hope you wont be listening to that on the way round mate? I've had a few frustrating moments with i pod wearers out on the track. As in, you shout track and they just dont hear you! I'll be taking mine with 'eye of the tiger' by survivor on repeat for use on the wind trainer for warm ups!
Can I suggest a mattress or something to put between your sleeping bag and tent floor. And maybe a team jersey or three. It'll get a bit cold riding around bare chested, especially at night. And beer. And maybe a toothbrush....
Hi Gazza;
Nope, I never ride with iPod, otherwise I can't hear myself breathe... This is for the night time, once we run out of banter in the camp, or when I retreat into deep meditation to focus on the next lap.

Based on past experience I can safely say that two bikes is not enough ;-)
You will also need:
Crank Arm http://nobmob.com/node/3441
Blue Loctite
Spare set of pivot bolts http://nobmob.com/node/3441
Spare brain mount http://nobmob.com/node/3405
What about some beer?
lorrie
Toilet paper for when they inveitably run out !
And a camp chair is most important. There is a LOT of sitting around.
on the course. The race directors hate them exactly for the reasons Gazza mentions.
However Hans, feel free to plug it in when you're resting at night so you don't hear your teammate calling for you up next!!!!! It can only help the cause of Team Snories Forties!
PS - Take a verrrrrrry comfortable chair. I've seen loads of people forget and 24 hours sitting on an esky is way bad...
And water.
PPS - Lorrie - which crank?
PPPS - forget the rain gear -
Thursday Sunny. Min 12 Max 28
Friday Sunny. Min 12 Max 29
Saturday Mostly fine. Min 13 Max 28
Sunday Cloud increasing. Min 14 Max 29
Monday Mostly fine. Min 17 Max 25
Then for you Hans as you dont have lights on your list.
Thx Rob for the reminder re the bike. I probably bring two as suggested, just not sure which one is better suited for Sparrow, the fully rigid Single speed; or the Full suspension with 4" travel:
Any insights? The SS is definitely lighter, but the FS is nice and plush, and Alivio spare parts are available at Queanbeyan K-Mart.
Recommendations and where do I get 'em?
any hardware store will have ear plugs
The soft foam ones work a treat at drowning out the snoring
about maybe a soap & towel or two, food, lolies, chips , powerade
insect repellent for the flys or mosquitos ?
According to the newsletter the mozzies are pretty bad ATM.
I have heard said that you can chew through a set of pads per lap if it gets wet/muddy. I haven't done much racing but that sounds fair.
Might get a bit hard to scrounge extras at the event if you're using your Spesh with the Maguras.
A weak cold front crossing the region on Saturday may bring isolated showers during the afternoon persisting into Sunday.
Pollie!
I've been watching the front developing, not looking good... Will definitely be taking the wet shells
