Wet weather ride

Where do people recommend a ride after the rain has fallen as it has done in the last 24 hours. I really want to get out for a ride this evening (make the most of a few more days of daylight savings) and was planning Manly Dam. There wasn't that much rain but given the erosion to some parts over the last few months it could probably do with all the help it can get.

Given that, where is an ok place to ride that is not going to cause issues for the track if it is a little wet? Hoping to be a short drive from Manly Dam so as to maximise riding time (I do not own lights - eyeing off some Ay-Ups today). I do not care about the technicality of it, I really just want to get on the bike other than just to ride up and down Allambie Road.

Duckholes & Centre Track - Terry Hills is the best place I know that handles the rain !

Thanks Dicko, and the rain might have taken care of the beach that has recently moved in!

Maybe consider starting at the japanesee school as the first section doesnt like the rain..

Or do Duck + Centre and then in reverse.

I've ridden Menai after a week of solid rain and had no issues whatsoever.

It has a very sandy / gravelly soil which drains like a sieve.

Centennial Park occasionally is good fun - you get to practice peddling technique, use high gear, are close to coffee and the scenary and bird life are great too - including the "Cervelo" peacock, the brightly coloured "De Rosa" robin (or Sebastian) "FELT" flamingo, the rare "S-works" raven or the "Giant" Indian Myna.
Sometimes hard to get close to these species and they seem to be scared off by dual suspension bikes but good Fun!
