Codes seem a bit overkill for this kind of bike!
Yeah... but how cool do they look?
It is missing part of its fork. Or was this not a "what's wrong with this picture?" kind of topic?
I agree that the brakes are overkill. And surely some black levers would have been better? In keeping with the stealth look and all that.
Just Yum,
I would like to see what its like for flex, I found the lefty unrideable under breaking, not sure what the suspension crown would be like in comparison. Anyone ridden one?
What was the issue with the lefty under braking?
weight this is with the internal hub & all ,after all it is only a commuter/ urban bike . I'm not sure about off road maybe smooth fire trails
Best fork i've ever used! nothing wrong under braking at all!
I have three... actually four if you count the Jake sitting unused in the box.
Did you have the brake caliper bolts done up properly?
It was a lefty max on a prophet, it was an older one but the bike felt like it was bending in a circle when braking.
The bike wasnt mine, but i put XT 8 inch rotors on it before hand. I did them up tight, i would like to try another one because the guy that owned it was a big heavy guy who thrashed the pants off it.
I've had a couple of Lefties and heard that you aren't meant to go larger than 6 inch rotors.
Couldn't figure out why that was, but your story might be a clue.
Strange, I have 180mm up front which is how it comes from Cannondale and it feels great.
@Brian - yeah, but you have a new Lefty. Perhaps there were some issues with brake torque in the earlier ones?
There's a chappy with a badboy lefty headshock on the Manly ferry in the evenings and it looks absolutely gorgeous. It makes my '08 matt black F3 with 80mm headshock look like a fat ugly stepsister!
LOL @deRuyter
You do your bike a disservice, dude. Nothing wrong with it in the looks department.
