Upgraded bike finally

Hey I am not new here, but new to posting...

Today I finally upgraded my actual bike instead of just repairing the old one. I have gone from a GT Palomar (199x) to a 2010 Scott Aspect 10..
These bikes feel worlds apart, the better shocks, gears and disc brakes!!

I normally ride the Terry hills/duck holes and Centre trail most afternoons and today's ride was so much easier and quicker than on the GT its not funny.

I was originally looking at upgrading to a new GT Avalanche, but the shop had a good deal on this Scott so i went with that instead. I do not know much about Scott and found it hard to find info online, but i am happy with it so far, its so much lighter and the components are so much better!!
I will post some pics when i get around to taking some and figure out how to on here..

I had a GT hardtail for 9 years,it was a great bike that served me very well, then went to a Giant dual suspension....wow what a difference. You wonder what i was thinking all those years, i feel so spoilt these days, but my body deserves the comfort. Enjoy your new ride

+1. I rode my hardtail on the trail for a couple of weekends while I waited for a new brake to arrive from Ireland for the full susser.

Not something I'd want to repeat on rough tracks! My dually is like a magic carpet in comparison. Easier on the legs and a lot more control on the rough stuff. The HT does accelerate and climb a lot faster, but is not as sustainable over distance.

Have to say i did get a hard tail again, I just could not afford a dual suspension bike..

But even the new hard tail is nicer than the old one Laughing out loud

Very happy with it
