Northern beaches fire trail inspections

The RFS has been asked to do some fire trail inspections around the Warringah/Pittwarter RFS district. We are driving down the trails and making notes on their condition (for fire fighting purposes), stuff like low branches/trees, over grown trails, bad signage, areas where the trail needs repair and so on.
This is then passed onto NPWS who either ask the RFS to do the work or will do the work themselves.
So be aware when on fire trails around Terrey Hills, West head and other areas that you may come across a fire truck on weekends and know that it will hopefully no only help the RFS with better trails but also make them better to ride on
