Damage to Trees Near Oxford Falls Trailhead
I've had some reports this week from the residents who live near the top carpark area that a number of trees have been cut down along the main dirt road heading toward the model plane club gates, with the cut trees being placed across the road. It is expected that this occurred some time Tuesday evening and the vandalism is being taken fairly seriously.
If anyone was in the area on Tuesday for some late DH runs or perhaps a night ride and happened to see or hear anything please send the details to [email protected] and I'll pass them on to the relevant parties.
Just to clarify, I am able to confirm that MTB riders are not being blamed for this - I have been asked to see if we could assist with information seeing as we're the main user group in the area.

was targetted by this as well.
Some messages of support and sympathy for her from us as mountain bikers would probably be well received: [email protected]
Pretty disgusting to do this to an elected representative. She's been supporting us getting access to the WSN site.
Maybe its a set up, of what benefit would mountain bikers get from laying trees across the road?
None. We're not in the frame for this. Nobody is suggesting that mtbers had any involvement.
They're just seeking assistance from us in case we've seen anything, since we probably the most frequent users of the location.
Sorry, took the above as some people where blaming it on us and informing C/Harris of our involvement, what did you mean?
Cheers
