Regular spins

Anyone want to start up a regular riding group? Or any existing groups want to adopt an Irishman? Eager to get out twice a week and a regular group would help.
Cheers Richie

What did you have in mind? Smiling

Cheers,
Nothing too specialised - general trail riding, with some longer consistent paced spins when the fitness improves.

Depending on the location of the rides I would consider regular rides at night and on Saturday & Sunday Mornings.

I'm currently resting an injured hand but will soon hopefully start posting a ride on a Tuesday and Thursday night for a couple of hours. If I start in the Terrey Hills area they would start at 6:15/6:30pm and if at the Dam they would start at 6:00pm.

Yeah thats what I have in mind. Maybe a regular time but in different places to mix it up.
Heading to the dam tonight (if anyone knows the condition of the track can they put up a post please?)
Will be going for a spin on Sat or sun morning too.

It's been raining the last few days and we try to discourage riding the Dam until a few days after the rain has stopped.

The Dam loop is the most heavily used trail in the area, and it's starting to show significant wear and tear. Sydney soils are fragile and easily eroded. Sad Wet/damp riding does a lot of damage and the rangers strongly prefer us not to do it.

If you're looking to go for a ride this week, Duck Holes + Centre Track make a 15km loop with some nice views in a few spots that is more wet weather tolerant (better drainage). It will also chop up your drivetrain a lot less. Smiling

Edit: Maybe not. Rob's update for yesterday states Terry Hills is pretty wet, although from the mention of the creek crossing, that sounds more like Perimeter/Long.

Looking forward to making your acquaintance on a weekend ride. Smiling
