Gday all

Im moving to taree in a few weeks and am looking for some ridding buddies and for some people to show me around. I ride all mountain and pretty aggressively. Im happy with any style of mountain biking. let me know if you wanna go for a pedal in the next few weeks! Any suggestions for tracks and clubs would be great!

there is plenty up there, just wander into the bike shop in Taree ( bourkes ) they will help you sort out some rides and where to go. I will be around the area also I ride mainly XC but enjoy hitting up some all mountain stuff aswell. Im moving back up at end of next week ( Port Macquarie ) but originally from Taree area. I will still be on this forum so if you get keen hit me up on here and we can organise a ride at some stage.

Goes off,

The meeting point is out the front of the Taree Tip, was up there with a mate over Easter and we had a ball, great bunch of guys up there that we just met at the starting point, they even gave us a map of the trails in that area.

They have got it sorted with the trail building and maintenance, they took a leaf blower through it a couple of days before the Easter break just to make sure that there trails were looking good for the influx of riders over the holidays, They have a huge amount of pride of what they have done and deservedly so, I've only been riding for a few years but they were some of the most varied and fun trails I've ridden.

It's a dissaponinting it's such a common theme but what they've achieved up there put's sydney to shame with what can be done with a bit of co-operation and hard work from all parties concerned

Enjoy

Thanks mate, that will be the first place I check out, might take a gps with me and map the area out myself.

This is a GPS trace I took during the Bourke's shop ride I did with the guys on a Saturday morning.

hey thats really cool, what gps unit and software did you use to create that and get it over a google map?

... and the Garmin Connect website does it automatically. Smiling

Went for a ride this morning in Kiwarrak. I think i was on the two dogs track. Unreal fun! love the work that people have put in!
Im gonna ride a few times a week before work. Let me know if anyone wants to join for early morning rides, between 7 and 830 any day of the week.

... ride the see-saw? Laughing out loud

I wimped it. Sticking out tongue

Yeah the seesaw's were great fun! The river one was easy but the big one got your heart rate up a bit more.
Gonna head out again tomorrow with the cleats on and go for a longer ride. See where my fitness is at after four months with nothing but surfing,

yeah its pretty fun especially the track that leads off that section with all the ramps and jumps. I'll be hitting it up real soon and cant wait maybe this weekend if all goes well...
