how to remove dried latex in tyres

I recently removed some tyres off my bike that had been running latex based sealant.
The tyres are still in good condition and i will want to use them again.

How can i remove the old dried up latex stuck inside the tyres?

Solvent?

No, I wouldn't be putting anything in the tyres like that, the latex won't react to solvent any faster than the rubber of the tyre itself. . It should just peel out, most of the time mine does. Otherwise I just leave it in there.

If you want to put new latex in the tyre, its worth removing the old stuff, otherwise lumps will form. Had this problem recently. Try a wire brush or stiff brush + elbow grease. Sometimes, there aint an easy way out.

sealant in mine , not sure if it is the same stuff but it just peeled of the inside of the tyre when it was dry .

Just need a big tub, maybe in the laundry. Use ordinary laundry detergent, dissolve it first in hot water, then use a nylon scrubbing brush. Probably takes about twice round as the first time only softens it but keep scrubbing and all the lumps and loose stuff will come off, I wouldn't worry about any minor film that might be left.

I don't worry too much about removing the old stuff - it's the water in the new fluid that adds the weight in any case.
