Night Ride Tuesday or Thursday
Anyone interested in a night ride at either Cascades or Duck + Centre then in reverse either Tuesday or Thursday evening starting at about 6:45pm? The Angry Doctor is 10 weeks away and that will fly past so I need to start getting in some hills

Yes it will be cold but I got a new base layer I can try out. It looks like Cascades is still quite wet so if you are keen for Duck+Centre then in reverse let us know and I will post it up.
@Brian: what else were you going to wear? It'll be freezing down the bottom of Cascades in this weather. 3 layers would probably be the go. Base + short sleeve jersey + long sleeve top/windstopper/rain jacket would be my recommendation.
I will give Cascades a miss as it sounds wet but if I do Duck + Centre I will wear base + short sleeve + light wind jacket (maybe).
I could be keen for Thursday...
I've been bike commuting after finishing late (7pm) for the last few weeks and this is what I've been wearing for the ride home:
Base layer top + LS jersey + T7 visibility vest + Netti light rain jacket on top
Bibknicks + leg warmers on lower half.
I work up a bit of a sweat on the climbs still, but it's not too bad. I'm just really happy not to be freezing on the descents.
Toes are still getting numb - need some shoe covers but the T7 ones I have are ugly!
So is anyone a definite for Tuesday night?
@BT. If you end up being ok for Thursday night then it might need to be 7pm as I will be running a little later then normal.
Not me this week - pretty sure I'll be finishing work early today so might sneak out for a late afternoon ride instead.
Bike and backpack are all ready to go as I was thinking of riding to work this morning - I changed that idea after sticking my head out of bed at 6am this morning and seeing frost on the ground outside!
I might have to buy some warmer clothes for riding if this cold weather keeps up
Anyone else crazy enough to join me. I'm keen to see just how many layers I need but not keen on riding alone at night.
Definitely can't make tonight and 7pm on Thursday might be too late...I need to be in the city to pick the missus up at 21:30.
I can make tonight at duckponds and centre trail if your still keen.
@ps. I am still keen. Does 6:45pm at Terrey Hills shop suit you?
