Ourimbah chicks/noobs ride (and anyone else who wants an easy one!)
I'm going to Ourimbah with a newbie who hasn't ridden there before...and yes she's a chick. I'm calling it a 'chicks/noobs' ride because we will only be doing the XC course and will be taking it pretty easy - have no idea how long we will last there for. Anyone is welcome to come along and you are welcome to branch off and ride at your own pace if you wish. We will be going pretty slow and riding back over bits to have a practice probably. If you have a wife/girlfriend who would like to give riding a go but doesn't want to feel threatened by being with lots of fast, experienced people then this one would probably be good to sell them on...because if you've ridden with me before, then you know I'm pretty slow and chicken!!
We're not setting out at a ridiculous hour either (another plus for beginners). So...newbies, lurkers, chicks....too afraid to come along to some of the other rides because they sound like they might be beyond your skill level...come on this one! It'll be fun. We'll be going unless it's absolutely bucketing. So let me know...PM me if you want my mobile to check if we're going if the weather looks nasty.

Just the type of post I like to see
I have tried ....and failed ...to make a nobmob ride to date. So I'm still a newbie and would really like to meet other people to go riding with.
Am presently in a world of pain after doing the fun 8 hour WWS on Sunday, and have some lovely bruises to show off, so it will definitely be a nice easy ride for me.
I drive a Toyota Landcruiser and will be looking around for other chicks/lost looking newbies on the Sunday morning.

Bummer. Any other weekend and I would have been there. I have a mate taking me for my 2nd MTB ride out at Sparrow Hill this weekend so can't make it. If you do any other dates up at Ourimbah for noobs & chicks with a motto of EASY DOES IT, I'm just LEARNING, I'll be thtere for sure!
Cheers,
Alison
Hey Anna,
I still have your mobile number so will message you if I can't find you. I'm coming with another couple in a four wheel drive - but can't tell you what type. You'll find us: two chicks and a guy. looking forward to meeting you.
Alison,
Come for one of the Terrey Hills rides! It's a firetrail and not technical, you just need to be able to ride up hills (though I have to walk some of them). And everyone is very friendly and will wait for you and give you tips. But yes, I know what you mean, it's a bit daunting sometimes to come along especially if it's a trail that you haven't been to before. Hope to see you another time...
Hi Tanya
Its a silver Rav4 (Not quite a true 4x4 but we like it)
Karen and I are looking forward to the ride, should be a good day.
See you on Sunday
Andrew
Tania,
I'll come with my wife if it doasn't rain.
Please send me (by mail if you want it to be private) a contact no. so we can call you in the morning regarding the weather in the norh (we live in the east)
Hope to see you tomorrow.
my mail is - [email protected]
I won't be online again now before the ride...so if anyone else wants to come, just show up, we'll wait a bit to make sure everyone is there.
I've got a red Kona and I have long brown hair which I wear in plaits...just in case you're searching but I think the abundance of women will mark us as the group you're looking for. 5 chicks and 2 guys....nice ratio!
Hi all.
Tanya thanks for the ride today.
Anna and Eugene that roll over drop was excellent, such a sense of achievement. First time I have been on something so big and it was great.

Tanya I hope your foot is better soon.
Karen & Andrew
Thanks Tanya for leading the way and showing us where to ride today.
I hope your foot is better for another ride soon.....likewise Karen and her little bike seat incident....as I think T.Hills is next on my agenda.
Andrew and Eugene - that drop off was crazy, and I still can't believe we did it twice.
Anna
I had fun despite the need to ice up bits of me this evening. It's not a bad sprain...looks like I'll be ok in a day or two. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
