Good lord, clearly this was not welcome here.

Thought I was tyring to help (and maybe I'm being a bit precious) but being relatively new here and to the whole MTB thing, fellas, there are ways and then there are ways to get your point across.

I haven't been looking for lights, perhaps if I was I might have come across what you mention. All I saw was these same lights in a magazine for around the $220 mark and thought it was a good deal. Now I have looked elsewhere and see what you say is correct..........

I agree we could have been more polite. Your enthusiasm to share what you thought was a good deal is to be encouraged!

However, I suppose the lesson to be taken is that these "1 day specials" rely on what's called the "urgency close" to pressure people to buy without researching properly. Don't worry - I've fallen for it too. Still living with the consequences... but that's a story for another time.

just had a set recently been on 2 rides so far. They (Bars + Helmet) produce enough light to ride thats for sure. I havent compared them to ay ups yet.

im not sure of there long term durability though.
