Had an excellent 'Trailbreakers' skills session with Brad Mertens today. Spent the morning focusing on track stands, ratcheting, slow turns and bunny hops. We also spent time looking at bike set-up - I received some great tips on tire pressure, suspension set-up and tire choice.
After lunch, the focus shifted to cornering, technical drops and climbs.

I can't speak highly enough of Brad - he is a brilliant instructor. Brad introduces techniques in a way that let's you absorb the technique easily without being overwhelmed by 'too much information'. And the proof is in the pudding! By the end of the day my cornering had improved 500% - things were really flowing. And I've got a list of things I can practice on in my own time.

I highly recommend attending an AMBC skills session. You won't regret it, and you'll come away feeling like you're able to get much more out of your future rides. PS Thanks Brad for showing me the 'Pie Line' - I'll be back there with a couple of mates to tackle it ASAP!
