Cape to cape mtb race, Margaret river region, Oct 2010

has anyone here participated in this race in previous years? I'm somewhat of a newbie and am wanting to hear first hand experience of the level of technical difficulty, the training required, how well the race is organised and any tips and traps on offer. Thanks.

great site this one only a bit far for me (sandgropper) ive done the caper for the last two yrs and realy ejoyed it its a social competive ride well organized with buses too and from the start/finnish line all that is on the web site..i'll go though it day at a time .d1)narsty climb though some really nice forrest down a fast sweeping left hand downhill run (pea gravel fire trail)down on to beach along the shore to the first over nite stop 45km about..you need to eat or you will die starts lunch time if you get though the first day all cool & happy the rest is a breeze with some sweet single track on day two & three day 4 is fast with a ride to dunsbough 68km up the coast a bit of bitum then dirt all the way with some sweet single track a the end a veiw that'll get you grabin the camera bag i recon you must be able to see 50ks out to sea.. its fun i'll do it again next year this time i'll eat and improve on my time the elite guys and girls seem to enjoy this one....i got get over there and ride some of these tracks..cheers
