Angry Doctor Not

We were about to head to the start when fellow riders staying in the same place let us know it was delayed and a decision was to be made at 9am. I knew now I wasn't going to be doing 100km because even if they started it later I doubt there was enough time for me to finish in daylight. Anyway, while waiting for 9am to come around we headed down to check out the surf. To our surprise there were four whales there really close to land. Never seen them this close so it was pretty amazing.

We headed to the start and on the way had to drive around a few trees blocking the roads so it was quite clear the race was cancelled. At this time I would have been happy just doing the fifty which was not to be. After it was cancelled we handed in our timing chips, packed the car and headed to Canberra. We stopped of at Sparrow Hill for a lap and this place was so wet. When riding up the first hill we witnessed a massive tree fall over. Did one lap and decided to move on to Mount Stromlo. Got to Mount Stromlo and did one lap of trail 4 and it was quite clear that Canberra must have copped a hammering as well as there was water heaps of water everywhere. I had never ridden Canberra and even though it was wet and freezing it was good to get a ride in and not be a total waste.
