When:
Monday, 18 October, 2010 - 19:30
Duration:
2 hours
Come Rain or Shine:
I'll be there, no matter what the weather.
Meeting Point:

Blaxland Seniors & Community Centre - Sharon Burridge Hall, 33 Hope St Blaxland.

33 Hope St Blaxland
Details:

"Council will present a draft track plan for mountain biking in Knapsack Reserve and provide an opportunity for discussion and feedback, prior to it being submitted to the Council for consideration. Interested individuals and stakeholder groups are welcome to attend."

This is a very important meeting which constitutes part of the community consultation over the BMCC plan for Knapsack Reserve. I expect there will be numbers of residents, conservation groups etc there as well who may well be in opposition. So we need a presence of riders and any other residents who support the plan, so get the word out to anyone else you know who may be supportive.

If you are planning on coming along it is probably worth having a read of the BMORC report to council http://bmorc.com/node/16871. Also have a look at http://bmorc.com/node/16565 which is the council report that started the momentum for Knapsack in the first place.

Some background info is here if you don't want to wade through the report.. instead wade through my waffle here... http://bmorc.com/node/17556

Who's in?
The Brown Hornet, Chuck, ChopStiR, moggio, Kingy, nick atkins, trim, deadparrot (8 riders)

Any chance of someone acting as tour guide on the weekend and showing me around some of the relevant areas? I've only been there once, and can't remember too much.
Weather permitting, of course, which doesn't look too good at the moment.

Chuck or Todd are good bets... If you can tag along with Chuck he would be able to bring the suggest trail in the report to life and explain some of the plans.

Todd is great to show you and make you session the more technical bits.

I'm heading home on Monday from doing the Around the Bay Ride in Melbourne Sunday (and heading to MotoGP today), so I should make it...unless I get delayed on the long drive home.

Planning to bring a buddy along who's a downhiller (and road rider) from the Northern Beaches.

Was just looking at google earth trying to figure out where I was going, and It looks to me that the community centre is on the corner of Hope st and Short st with the Driveway Entrance is on Short St and Exit on Hope st. Is this correct?
