Nice.
My guess is 13.2kg
Drool weight!
Very nice mate!!! I have to admit, I'm slightly envious even though it's not a Dale...
11.2kg?
Unfortunately I have no official scales of truth so I am not too sure of the weight, but Brian, I'd certainly be a bit optomistic if I were to think this were to get under 14kgs let along low 13's! Anything under 15 and I'll be quite pleased
Junkie, it certainly isn't a Dale. Hopefully it won't crack'n'fail, although I can't be so confident about the seat-rails! I honestly had no idea they'd be carbon when I bought it.....
Cough....BS alert
Am I missing something?
Surely that spec should be around the 10kg mark? Or even sub 10kg?
*Edit - I would have thought 9.4kg to be exact
Heheh yeah, I was joshing..
But sub 10??? what are you smoking junkie! and can I have some!
Mate, this isn't a hingeless scalpel relying on the flex of carbon! Its got 4 pivot joints and 2 shock mounts for 6 bolts of sweet sweet VPP action!
As such, I'd be very pleased to get this into the 10's!
Loaded up all the components (that I could find listed) in CC's kit calculator and it spat out "9421g".
I didn't account for Stans and bike PC's, but had pretty much everything on your list and I guessed some components (pedals/stem etc) off the 1 or 2 pics you loaded...
He Loz, any chance of any more pictures, I can't quite see it properly in the 30 you have posted.
Nice bike btw, I would guess around the 11KG mark.
If you spent less time taking photo's of it and more time riding, it might have had some dirt on it by now.
It's not going to be ridden on the dirt! This steed is pure show pony!
i dun wanna ride it! I want to just look at it.
unlike my other bikes, this one is in my bedroom
Would this count as an official weight?

I want to buy a set
You're really taking advantage of the dollar at the moment aren't you? Spending frenzy.
You don't need them fancy scales, just step on the bathroom scales and weigh yourself with and without the bike. If you want to cheat take the pedals off and suck the stans out first.
I've done that version with a 100g increment scale....
Not confident its reading correctly..
or maybe i'm not happy with what its telling me
shopping centre stand it on its rear wheel with a rubber band around the brake lever put your money in, it will tell you weight & height of your bike , make sure u are only holding it very lightly too. LMAOH
We will have to have a Carbon Bike off with my new Yeti as well.
Very very nice indeed.
lozza,
my new stumpy 29er is only 13.5kg's so i would say that ur santa cruz would have to sub 10kg
Such a light bike must be a bit unbalanced with all that red paint on one side???
I'm in the US next week....
...and tempted to get some short-travel, 9.6 kg XC action at a good exchange rate...
Still deciding between the 26'er or 29'er....

Its a no brainer you know which one to get.
Oh yea not a bad bike lozza whats up with those little wheels though.
