Weekday rides?

Hi Team

As of next week I will officially be a man of leisure for a few months. One of the reasons for doing it was to spend more time riding and to build up my skills and fitness.

Are there many Northern Beaches weekday riders lurking around here? I'll be looking to expand my repertoire of rides in the area with a few day trips further afield (So far I've really just focussed on the Dam). As you know these things are often better with company so I'd be interested in organising some formal weekday rides. Expect to see some posted up from next week onwards.

cheers

I try to get out for a midweek ride. Generally 1 hour or so at Cascades... Wyatt Ave entry.

Let me know if you are keen

Sounds good, once I've wrapped up work and recovered from the fling you're on. Week after next (Nov 24) sounds like a good candidate. I'll let you know

My chosen occupation causes me to work on the weekend so my days off are Monday and Tuesday of each and every week. It is rare that I have anything better to do than ride. So message me.
I know a few others who sometimes have Monday free so occasionally I may be able to rouse up something of a small posse.
My preferred haunts are; Menai, Appin, Yellomundee, Wisemans... all a fair hike from the beaches of the north, but contact me anyway, my arm is already twisting.

I'm on the clock and need to be done by 13:30 as I have a weekly meeting at 14:00 ... did this on purpose or else I'd stay out riding all day. Also my days sometimes get hectic so I may bring my bike in the morning then have meetings run over or crisis come up and have to cancel.

Drop me a private message through NobMob with your mobile and I'll SMS you in the morning if it's looking like a ride day.... I'll drop you another SMS around 11:30 if all is looking good.

Otherwise every Wednesday, 12:15 on the dot at the corner of Wyatt Ave & Elm Street, Belrose. My aim is to get the 4 Gates under 1 hour (got 23 minutes to shave off so work to do). THe plan is this as a weekly fitness ride then ride Manly Dam and other local trails for fun if I get a chance to ride on the weekend.

Generally, I only ride weekdays, so I'm keen. I often do Northern beaches stuff (when the weather's not so crap) and usually go further afield once a week to places like Yellomundee, Appin, Kentlyn, Camden River and even Ourimbah.

Glad to see there's a few other weekday warriors out there Smiling

Peter: Glab to see the rubber arm in action. I'll certainly be up for some Mon/Tues rides once I settle into unemployment

Daniel: jeez, this precise scheduling stuff is a bit scary, I quit work to get away from that but I'm sure I'll cope. We're both doing the same times around the Dam so should be well matched. I'll PM you my details

Ian: I think your tag gives the game away, a man after my own heart. Let's keep in touch for options

I'll also schedule a weekday Ourimbah ride (never been there before but want to explore it) in about a month. I'm catching up with some of my old team in Newcastle for a night out so figure it would make a good distraction on that way up

cheers

I prefer weekdays, easier to sneak out for a couple of hours when the kids are at school. I generally ride the Dam and Cascades. Happy to be shown around any of the other tracks in the area. Can't guarantee I'll stick with you on the hills, though. lol

Friday mornings are my general weekday rides, anywhere from the Dam, Cascades, Yarramundi and most recently The Royal National Park, happy to have someone join in the fun and ride anywhere.
